HOMIE-CAM OR NOT SO TRANSWORLD

Here at BS we are constantly working to get content on the site.  The efforts are great..........but not good enough.  We have some contributors that refuse to post any video content because its getting used for the "video", and quite frankly it would be easier to get a date with Lindsay Lohan than get footage from this contributor.   blah fuckin blah.  That being said, i am going to be issuing as many homie-cam clips and drunken non vx1000 shots as possible.  Here is round 1 of those clips.  shitty as fuck but for the followers of this blog, i think it will do the trick!  Im not tryin to be legit and all that crap, we're just having fun doin our thing.  The good shit will be out before you can say PREPARE TO BE BUMMED.

WHEN IT RAINS, WE SHRED

Rain always seems to come on the weekends these day, which for most is just plain fucked.  You end up stuck in the house playing with yourself or doing some useless bullshit.  Well not this time.  Some fellow BS-ers and I went out for a little shreddin last Sat and had a hell of a time.  First we were forced to head up to the only indoor park between SF and LA basically, which I can safely say eats 2 bowls of dicks.  Long story short, $$ to skate for about an hour only to have 500 little kids contemplate whether or not to drop in, and the park owners/managers put cones in front of the euro to install a 50"+ TV in the middle of the park. FUCKIN GENIUS!  why didn't i think to put a tv in a skate park.  At lease my $5 went to a good cause.  Anyway, after that we took the not so little guy (Ty) home, had a brew with the folks and headed back to Niday's for some pool and consumption of the finest beverage on earth.
There was some talk of this little garage mini-ramp the other day and i figured id never see it.  I was wrong.  We rounded up the packs and set off to get some at this little guy.

It was one of those ramps that you could drink a lot of beer and still function until slowly you became more intoxicated and fall off of a rock fakie.  Tyler Niday (hope the spelling is right) was killing it with the disasters all up in the roof.  must have been the sabbath in the air.  this bromie-cam shot shows how little this thing is, or what a big dude Niday is, take your pick.
Barechested half-time every 10 minutes or so.  It was hot as fuck in there.
dicks will follow you everywhere.  there is no escape dont even try, especially if your shanes face.
 Standard issue
the take off.  no drop ins here.

ROB "SALAD BAR" SALAZAR JOINS THE RAD DAD TEAM!

Just wanted to give a shout to BS's newest rad dad and his new baby boy Andrew Anthony Salazar.  After some complications with this little guy, he was finally able to make it home happy and healthy with his mom & pop.  Rob has been one of my longest running homies, hittin the 15 year mark.  Through the good, the bad, the ugly, countless skate trips, shootin photos, and even takin me to my first bar at 15, whatever.......this guy fuckin rules and is always down for anything and everything.  Thanks for everything over the years and a huge congrats goes out to Rob and the new family...........i think we have a future Brew Swettin' shredder.

Unexpected Excellence

Most people know that along with school comes both good and bad. Shit-tons of homework and other bullshit tend to fall into the bad category. Occasionally though, you'll get the opportunity to do something awesome, that otherwise, you'd never have known about. Two weeks ago I was in a meeting with my professor for my senior project class. We tend to talk about things that don't really apply to anything, and that day, we stumbled upon the topic of music. I mentioned bluegrass, and it sparked his interest. He asked me if I knew of a band called the Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band. I told him I didn't and he quickly pulled up a you tube vid. I was instantly hyped.

I had no idea where he was going with this, but was on the hook to find out. He explained that he had two tickets that he and his wife weren't going to be able to use. He then offered them to me. Without hesitation I said yes, and the experience was amazing.

Peter Rowan, an Old and In the Way veteran, played alongside Jody Stetcher on mandolin, Keith Little on banjo, and Paul Knight, on the stand-up base. The guys killed it. During their show, they mentioned that the Clark Center happened to be one of the best acoustic rooms they'd ever played in, and this proved to be true. The sound was incredible. Peter Rowan cracked jokes between songs, getting the crowd involved, and making them feel like a part of the show. Stecher killed it on mandolin, even incorporating what looked like a pvc slide into the music, twanging the sound of his strings throughout the venue. Keith Little, had a composure like no other, often battling Stecher in improvised solos. And the glue who held it all together, Paul Knight, kept feet steady tappin' and the baseline firmly driving. An amazing experience to say the least. Thanks prof.
