Guns, Bums, and Glory

It started out like any other day. I woke up and contemplated how and where I would skate. I was ready to fill up the tank and head to Cayucos for yet another sesh at the ramp... typical. Before the eggs were scrambled though, I got a call from my good buddy Blair. He said he and Nides were gonna pick up some ammo, grab the 12 gauge and go shooting at a friend's house. I really wanted to skate, but shooting guns in the woods seemed like too much fun to pass up. So we got a crew together and made our way out to Avila.
Hearing the guns crack, we waited for the dog to be put away.
Blair brought his twelve-gauge.
Before we headed out, we picked up a bunch of clays and a thrower.
Gearin up.
I've been wanting to shoot one of these for a very long time, but was a little disappointed to find that it was full of .22 special rounds.
Nides giving Shane a run for his money with this angle.
Nick's first time shooting, blasted the clay pigeon to powder.
Twelve-gaugers.
Pull already.
Big H with some well aimed shots.
Deeeeeeep Penetrator fool.

With our egos boosted from the hundred plus round we shot off, we thanked the guys and made our way back to town. Skateboarding was still on our minds though as we packed up and headed in the northerly direction. Templeton park was our destination, and shortly after we finished up there, we made our way back to A-town. Before home, we stopped at a friend of a friend's house on the way back. With a pack of beer, we greeted the guys and asked if it was cool to skate the ramp. The ramp used to belong to Jeff Tipay, and with a few changes, the thing is just as fun. One long piece of coping sticking out like a middle finger, and a really quick pool coping section made for a good time. We put ourselves to work and came out on top.
Johnny blasted some ollies on this less than solid section.
Nick twisted up a couple front blunts.
Blair came through again with this quick back-d.
Johnny leanin' into a back smitherines.
Blair wrappin' it up with a pivot fakie.
Just wanted to say thanks to Colin for letting us come out and shoot. We know there was a lot of people and a hell of a lot of rounds shot, but we had a real good time. So thanks again man... until next time.
